"For years, the Stockyards was synonymous with where great food began. Now, with Amelia's, the Stockyards is where great food is served. The restaurant is located on 4559 S. Halsted, just south of the old gates to the Stockyards. From the outside, it looks like any other restaurant. However, as I walked in, I was stunned that an honest, upscale Mexican restaurant found its way to this former blue-collar mecca. In fact, the story is rather... interesting, as is most everything about this restaurant. The interior is beautifully decorated with traditional Mexican accents, which set the stage for an excellent dining experience"
